SteadyNYC is not actively hiring at this time. We do, however, always welcome interested practitioners and psychotherapists to share a cover letter and a resume for us to have on file.

We anticipate expanding again in 2024. At that time we will be looking for licensed or license-pending mental health providers to join our team. SteadyNYC is a completely safe, non-judgmental space for healing, growth, and change. We are a trauma-informed and transformation-minded psychotherapy practice in the Flatiron District. Here our clients cultivate self-awareness + self-compassion, and we empower them to create the fully authentic lives they deserve—lives with less fear and more joy.

Requirements: All applicants must work from a trauma-informed holistic framework and have experience in at least one of our areas of specialty which include:

  • Trauma
  • Substance Abuse/Misuse

  • Grief & Loss
  • Depression
  • Anxiety

Candidates must be LGBTQ affirming and social justice informed. Individuals identifying as BIPOC and/or LGBTQ+ are strongly encouraged to apply. Preference is given to candidates with training (or interest to be trained) in EMDR, Gestalt therapy, Harm Reduction and/or whose work is informed by the research of Dr. Brené Brown. Candidates must have a desire to grow clinically as well as participate in the overall growth of the practice.

Candidates must make a minimum commitment of 2 years to the practice. Practice schedule is flexible. Candidate must be willing to regularly contribute blog posts for the practice’s website and participate in promotional endeavors. Candidates must attend weekly individual or group supervision.

Job Description: The candidate will be joining an existing small group practice that seeks to expand its services not only for clients, but also for practitioners wanting to build a long-term psychotherapy practice in a supportive and affirming environment. Candidates will start with a small case-load that will build over time consistent with the candidate’s interest and the needs of the practice. Candidates will work independently with regular access to support through supervision meetings and our HIPPA compliant data system.

Internship

SteadyNYC is currently looking for a Mental Health Counseling Student Intern to join our team. SteadyNYC is a completely safe, non-judgmental space for healing, growth, and change. We are a trauma-informed and transformation-minded psychotherapy practice in the Flatiron District. Here our clients cultivate self-awareness + self-compassion, and we empower them to create the fully authentic lives they deserve—lives with less fear and more joy.

We will begin interviews for the 2023-2024 school year starting May 2023. All applicants should submit the required documents by May 1, 2023. Internship placement decisions for Steady NYC plan to be finalized by June 1, 2023.

Candidates must attend weekly individual supervision. Group supervision for interns is set to a 2x per month involvement and can be attributed to clinical hour total.
