Last year, she interned at the American Psychological Association (APA) where she was able to apply her knowledge in the field and proof-read publications.

Maya feels it is an honor and a privilege to spend the summer working with SteadyNYC as she continues to grow her knowledge in this field.

She is interested in using cognitive-behavioral, mindfulness, and physical practices to facilitate healing as well as incorporate neuropsychological research to facilitate our understanding of human behavior.

Maya loves spending time in nature whether it be hiking, doing yoga, walking her dog, or meditating. Mindfulness based exercises have helped her enjoy the present and she hopes help others achieve the same and more.
